
Donnie was born on May 8, 1946 in Crescent City, Oregon to parents Lester and Marian Elizabeth (Patton) Horne and entered into eternal rest on October 8, 2014 at the age of 68. Donnie had the biggest heart ever and he held his family close to his heart. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren tremendously. Donnie never met a stranger and would give anyone the shirt off his back. He loved to collect stamps, watch old movies and read to his grandchildren. Donnie served in the United States Navy and did 3 tours in Vietnam. He was a welder and fabricator by trade, but did seamster and sewing machine mechanic. Donnie was a member of The American Legion Post 310. He was a stage 4 colon cancer survivor. Donnie was a loving and caring man who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, son Michael Douglas Horne, daughter-in-law Dee Horne, sisters; Jane Mobley and Patty Ginger Benson, brother Richard Horne. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Linda Horne, son Donald Horne, daughters; Geneva Bevis and husband Michael and Donna Horne, grandchildren; Carrol Bevis, Arielle Horne, Dillon Horne, Brandon Horne and Lyndsay Horne, great-grandchildren; Donnie James Bevis, Makayla Bevis, Mackinzy Bevis and Brody Horne, sisters; Cary Benson and Pattie Smith, host of extended family and friends.
