I have many great memories with you from the last 25 years. You were a great friend with a contagious smile , I will never forget riding in the Mustang , watching you clean the Mustang all the time , so many fun times . I will also never forget how you thought your Nachos were the best and only way to be eaten.

Thank you for being a wonderful person to me , for letting me be a part of your life , and for bringing your amazing parents into our lives. I will never , ever forget the call from Trisha when she found out we were in a car accident, but thank goodness she still loved me after all these years . You were a special person to those lucky to be around you. Love and miss you very much.

Dustin I remember the first time I met you. I was visiting my daughter in Florida. You were in the Navy. When I walked in there you were sitting in the floor surrounded by Katie and Dylan. I don’t know who was having more fun you or the children or the dogs. I remember when you came to Memphis for Thanksgiving and your Mother flew in from Texas. We all had so much fun together. I have never seen anyone eat as much as you did that day. We took you and your Mother to Graceland. We will never forget you and the love you had for Katie and your son Dylan. It didn’t matter what we wanted to do. You are the only man I know who liked to shop. Now it’s time to say good bye. You were much too young to have been taken from us and your family. May God Bless you all.

This breaks my heart that you are gone. You were so sweet and kind and protective of us all when we used to hangout in Jacksonville and when you moved back to Texas. We had such a blast country dancing and shooting pool. I just can’t believe that you are gone. You were such a great father figure to Katie and I am going to miss your smile, your horrible one liners and your stories from the navy. Life will not be the same. Rest In Peace and may god wrap his arms around your family as they heal.

Our family has so many wonderful memories of Dusty. The very first that comes to mind is cliff jumping at Lake Whitney with our families. This is a terrible time in the lives of all who loved Dusty, he will be missed.

The last time I saw Dusty was when he came to my condo and we went swimming and he also helped my mom paint her condo. We had so much fun! I think we were laughing the whole time! It reminded me of when I was younger he always knew how to make me laugh! He always had the biggest heart..especially for his family! He will be truly missed! I found this picture below the other night and it just shows the person he was!

Rest in peace to the man that stepped in and raised me when my own father stepped out. You brought me to Texas and gave me a better life and you made sure I had everything I needed to be successful. You even got me my first dog and we named him Buddy Taft Raburn Gustavson, you told me that name was too long but I never changed it. I’ll never forget riding up to the gas station in the go-cart with you, while Buddy sat right in between us. Some of the best memories of my life were with you, weekends at the pool when Dylan and I would beg you for hours to let us jump off of your shoulders, trips to the wooden go-cart track where I’d get spun around and you’d have to lose your place to come save me, and spending hours building the tree house in the backyard and you having to rush me to hospital after I stepped on a nail from it. I am who I am today because of you, a strong independent woman who lives every moment of my life to the fullest. You taught me how to appreciate everything I have and never take anything for granted. You will always hold a place in my heart, and Kaye will always be considered a part of my family. We will miss you very much.
