Mrs. Esther M. Ward

Esther was born on August 5, 1931 in Sugarland, Texas to parents Vincent Gonzales and Cleofas Menchaca and entered into eternal rest on August 10, 2015 at the age of 84. Esther loved sports; she enjoyed watching The Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys and golf. Esther especially loved watching her children & grandchildren play sports from youth league all the way through college. She enjoyed baking cakes and doing crafts; such as decoupage. Esther was a supervisor at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 14 years. Esther was a charter member and the second vice president of the Eustace Area Business and Professional Womens Club. She managed the food service at Athens and Cedar Creek Country Club. Esther attended the First Baptist Church of Eustace for 40 years. She was a very loving and caring mother, Mimi and friend, who will be missed tremendously by all.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents and husband Frank Arthur Ward; of 20 years.

She is survived by her daughter Yvonne Gerdt and husband Daniel of Grand Prairie, son Bobby Ward and wife Connie of Mission Viejo, CA, son Jack Y. Ward and wife Laura of Eustace and son Frank Anthony Ward of Eustace, grandchildren; Britney McNeely and husband Shawn, Brisha Ward, Jaqlynn Bless and fiancé Jarrod Brewer, Blake Y. Ward and wife Danessa, Daniel S. Gerdt and Shannon Ward, great-grandchildren; Ireland, Breighly, Hudson, Jolene and Presley, sister Connie Garcia and husband Johnny, sister Becky Clinton and husband Jo, brother Eddie Gonzales, a host of extended family and many more friends.
