Eugenia M. Brown, 85, went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2015 surrounded by her family. Eugenia was born on March 27, 1929 to John F. and Ursula Herr in Hereford, TX. She was a loving wife, caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her friends knew her loyalty to them and that she would do anything for them. Spending time fishing and being on the lake was a favorite pastime. Eugenia was an amazing cook and loved to cook for her family. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting and always encouraged others with her birthday and wedding anniversary cards; she had a way of underlining the message to highlight the person's personality. During her extended stay at Kemp Care Center, she endeared people to herself with her big smile, quiet spirit and sweet disposition. Patsy Cline was her favorite singer but loved the good old country music. Prior to her sickness, she attended the St. Jude Catholic Church, but also loved attending and serving during special ministries of First Baptist Church of Gun Barrel City. Married initially for 20 years to Earl Sheppard, who died early, then shared a long, happy marriage of 43 years to Bill Brown. Eugenia was proud of all her children and extended family. Those who have preceded her are: parents, first husband Earl Malcolm Sheppard, Sr. and Sister Teresa Pettigrew. Those left to cherish her memory are: husband William Brown; children Wayne Sheppard and wife Paula, Earl Malcolm Sheppard, Jr. and wife Marybel, Deborah Komah and husband Byron, Diane Brown and Jonathan Brown and wife Kimberly; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren brother Richard Herr and wife Anna , sisters; Ann Bengford, Patty Davis and husband Todd and Alma Marr and husband Tony and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
