Glenda Diann Tucker

Glenda Diann Tucker, 82, of Canton, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, May 18, 2025. She was the devoted wife of Charles B. Tucker, with whom she shared 63 wonderful years of marriage.

Born on October 26, 1942, in Gladewater, Texas, Glenda was the beloved daughter to Glenn Wilson Arnold and Frances Burns Arnold. She was a faithful Christian, growing up as a member of the Church of Christ in Hawkins, TX.

Family was at the heart of Glenda’s life. She took great joy in caring for her younger siblings, Glenn Jr. and Samantha, and their lifelong bond was a testament to her nurturing spirit. She cherished every moment spent with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as dear friends, David and Alice Barnes and Don and Theresa Rudolph.

Glenda found immense joy in traveling, often taking vacations that created lasting memories. She especially loved visiting the beach, enjoying the peaceful beauty of Lake LBJ, experiencing the excitement of Las Vegas, and embarking on memorable cruises. She also loved spending hours talking on the phone with her closest friends, Gloria Frame and Jeanie Dean.

Her passions included reading, shopping, and supporting her grandchildren in their extracurricular activities. She had a deep love for music, particularly Elvis Presley and the hits of the 1950s, ‘60s, and ‘70s. One of her treasured memories was seeing Elvis perform live at her high school gymnasium at Hawkins ISD. Another cherished memory was the night she finally saw Donny and Marie Osmond in Las Vegas, fulfilling a dream she had for years. As the show opened, Donny pulled her up on stage and danced with her.

Glenda was always the first to lend a helping hand, embodying kindness and generosity in every aspect of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn Arnold and Frances Arnold. She is survived by her husband, Charles Tucker, and their children: Steve Tucker and wife, Cynthia; Lisa McCaskill and husband, Brad; and Brandi Dyer and husband, James. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Tiffaney Teague and husband, Robby; Michael Tucker and wife, Jamie; Brittani Harden and husband, CJ; Autumn Weatherford and husband, Chris; Garrett McCaskill; Laura Dyer and husband, Eric; and Rhett Dyer. She is also survived by siblings, Glenn Arnold Jr. and wife, Susan; and Samantha Morris and husband, Robin, along with 10 great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Additionally, she leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Park in Mabank, Texas.
