Gloria Parker was born to parents, Roy and Jackie McDonald, on September 26, 1937. ,,She entered into rest on October 21, 2020, at the age of 83. Gloria and her first husband had three children, Vickie, Rusty and Monte, and she and her second husband Kenneth had Bobbie Joyce. They were the light of her life. She was a loving wife and devoted mother, and grandmother to many generations of grandchildren. Gloria was a kind and gentle soul who she gave her life to Christ at a very young age. You could see that in the way she loved and lived. She put her family above everything and made sure they were always taken care of. She loved being a mom and then especially loved being a grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother. Gloria loved her family dearly. She was a prayer warrior for each and every one of them. Her family was blessed to have her in their lives. Gloria was a hard worker and worked for Sears and Roebuck until her retirement. She could spend hours and hours shopping in Wal-Mart and enjoyed watching movies. Her favorites were “Thornbirds” and “The Godfather”. She was a huge “Dallas Cowboys”, “San Antonio Spurs” and “Texas Longhorns” fan and loved her Dr. Peppers and M&Ms. Gloria was a beautiful loving soul and each life she touched was blessed by her love.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Jackie McDonald; husbands Glenn Freeman and Kenneth Parker; and son-in-law Jerry Williams. She is survived by her children Vickie Williams, Rusty Freeman and wife Marlene, Monte Freeman and wife Deanna, Bobbie Colvin; sisters Paula Kimball and husband Jim, Linda McDonald, seventeen grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild, along with other loved ones and lifelong friends. Gloria will be missed by many.
