

Born on January 8, 1963, in Port Arthur, Texas, Jimmy was the son of the late James Arlen Wilson and Nona Fae Sitton Wilson of Seven Points, Texas
He grew up with his famly first in Lufkin, Texas, then in the Dallas, Texas area. Jimmy and his brothers all excelled in football, basketball and track. During that time, his family always had a lake house in Seven Points. They spent a lot of time on the lake. After high school he finished at the top of his class with the Video Technology School. His working career was with Sony Corporation of America, followed by L-3 Communication in Utah doing contract work for the United States Military on top secret projects. In 2006, Jimmy retired with a disability and worked on various jobs earning a little extra money.
Jimmy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints meeting in Athens, Texas. He will be remembered as one who always helped others in any way possible. For the past few years on Sunday morning when you came to church, Jimmy had been the one greeting you with a big smile and a hug. He continued that until kidney disease got the best of him.
Jimmy is survived by his brothers; Jay Albert Wilson of Seven Points, Texas and George A. Wilson of Salt Lake City, Utah. He was preceded in death by his brother Lee Jamison Wilson and his sister Rebecca Fay Smallwood.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on August 22, 2026, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 814 Belmont Drive, Athens, Texas.
