We have come to celebrate the long life of Janie Lorene Crow, who was a Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother to her loving family. She went home to be with the Lord and those who preceded her on February 24, 2024, at the age of 100 years.

She was born to parents, William F Hyde Sr. and Sybil Downing on May 20, 1923, at home in Van Zandt County. She married John Crow on September 6, 1941. They were married 62 years prior to his death in 2004. They had two children, Beverly and John William.

Janie never worked at a job outside the house until Beverly graduated from high school. She was always at home taking care of her house, cooking and devoting time to her family. Her jobs included working in the butcher shop and checking at Piggly Wiggly Grocery stores, and working and retiring from Kmart. She and her husband were involved in Church, square dancing, and the Lions Club. They also made lifelong friends in their Dallas neighborhood on Craighill, in Sulphur Springs, Sherman, and Tyler, Texas before retiring to the farm in Van Zandt County. She lived the past 4 and 1/2 years at Canton Oaks Nursing Home in Canton where she was loved by everyone.

Janie is survived by daughter, Beverly Fulfer and husband Darryl; son, John W. Crow and wife Marcie; grandson, Barry Fulfer and wife Brandee; grandson, John David Crow and wife Jolee; granddaughter, Gail Lewis and husband Brian; granddaughter, Amy Morris and husband Jason; granddaughter, Leah Smith and husband Brian; and granddaughter Sophia Darnell.

Great grandchildren are; Aubrey Fulfer, Hollee Spencer, Ethan Lewis, Elliott Lewis, William Morris, John Garrett Crow, Mackenzie Crow, Alysa Crow, Harper Crow, Rydin Crow, Kathy Cate Smith, Meredith Ray Smith, Caitlynn Jane Smith, Gardner Smith, and Lakyn Denbow.

She was preceded in death by; parents, William and Sybil Hyde; husband, John Henry Crow; siblings, Juanita Snowden, Dub Hyde, Gifford Hyde, Dorothy Crow, Gladys Gray, Tony Walter Hyde, Davis Lee Hyde, and Daughter-n-law, Kathy Crow.

Visitation and Funeral Service will be at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home Mabank.

Graveside service at Elm Grove Cemetery immediately following the funeral.

Pallbearers are Elliott Lewis, John Garrett Crow, Will Morris, Jason Morris, Brian Lewis, and Brian Smith.
