Jean was born on October 25, 1944 in Dallas, Texas to parents Raymond and Mary Louise (Rachel) Reese and entered into eternal rest on November 18, 2017 at the age of 73. Jean graduated from Mabank High School. She went to work for the City of Dallas, retiring in 1998 and then went to work for the Dallas County Tax Office and retired in 2011. Jean enjoyed crocheting and reading. She loved her nieces and nephews like they were her grandchildren. Jean was an animal lover; especially cats and dogs. She was an amazing lady who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, brother Sam Jordan and husband James Goodwin, who passed on February 14, 2010.
She is survived by her sister Vicki Atherton of Dallas, niece Clarissa Atherton of Dallas, nephew Jonathan Atherton and Kari Fields of Canton, nephew Danny Atherton of Canton, other loving family members and many more friends.
