Jeffery Michael Smitherman

Jeffery Michael Smitherman was born August 12, 1976 in Ennis, Texas to parents James Thomas and Alice Faye (Almand) Smitherman and entered into eternal rest on August 9, 2020 at the age of 43. Jeffery was known as “Buncle” to those who knew and loved him. He was a man who loved the Lord and was baptized at Liberty Baptist Church in Gun Barrel City in 2004. Jeffery loved to cook, especially outside on his grill. He enjoyed watching cooking shows to find new recipes. He showed his love through cooking and feeding others. Jeffery’s favorite thing to do involved being outdoors and spending time with his friends and family. He found great joy in time spent with his niece and nephew; Paisley and Pike. He was an amazing husband, father, son and brother.

Jeffery was preceded in death by his brother James Robert Smitherman and mother-in-law Debra Ann McRoy.

He is survived by his loving wife Leslie Smitherman of Mabank, sons; Corey Allen Smitherman of Mabank, Jeremy Ryan Smitherman of Mabank, and girlfriend, Emily Ann Wharton, and Colten James Smitherman of Mabank, and girlfriend, Karina Rust, father James Thomas Smitherman and wife Alice Faye of Mabank, sister Kristie Smitherman of Payne Springs, sister-in-law Karen Smitherman of Kaufman, sister-in-law Codie Parker and husband Josh of Mabank, grandmother Lillie Almand, numerous nieces and nephews, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
