Jerry Wayne Brewer of Dallas, Texas, passed away Friday, June 12, 2026. Graveside service will be held at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Mabank, Texas on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 11:00 am. Services are being handled by Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home located in Mabank, Texas. Jerry was born in Athens, Texas to Roy and Velma Brewer on April 5, 1944, and died June 12, 2026. On February 7, 1969, he and Vivian were married.

Jerry graduated from Mabank High School in May of 1962 and went on to graduate from East Texas State University in 1966; receiving his CPA license in February of 1974 which he kept active. His work career included City of Dallas, Lone Star Gas Company, Mid-County Asphalt Company, and Controller for Richland Plantation, Hook Ranch, and Silco, Inc.

Jerry enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, gardening, and working with his hands; carpentry, re-modeling, mechanic work; could just about do anything.

Jerry is survived by his two children: daughter, Cynthia Reynolds and Jerry (husband) of Farmersville, Texas. Son, James Hallmark and Angie (wife) of Rowlett, Texas. Grandchildren: Keaton Hallmark and Taylor (wife); Cameron Hallmark and Judy Maranca (fiancé); Faith Jones and Seth (husband). Great-grandchildren: Marae Hallmark, Hallie Hallmark, Weston Hallmark and Silas Jones.

Jerry was proceeded in death by his devoted wife, Vivian, as well as father Roy, mother Velma, brother Leroy and grand-daughter Christie Lynn Thomas.

Jerry was an exemplary husband, a first-rate father and grandfather. Jerry will be deeply missed by his family, many friends and acquaintances.
