Jimmy Douglas Rogers was born in Corsicana, Texas to parents Claud and Carrie (Graves) Rogers on July 7, 1935 and entered into eternal rest on May 24, 2020 in Tyler, Texas. Jimmy was a strong willed, sweet, wonderful family man, who always put his family first. His family meant the world to him, especially his wife of nearly 64 years, Tommie ( Slaughter). Jimmy served in the United States Marine Corps for 5 years, he had many jobs after he was discharged but he ended up retiring from Oncor. He was a consultant for AVO International and in his younger years he was a lineman. He was a hard working man and gave his family a wonderful happy life. When he lived in Waco, he became a 32nd degree mason and was an advocate of Scottish Rite Hospital for children. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife Tommie of Mabank, Texas, his daughter Paula Wilson of Athens, Texas, granddaughter Carrie Richards and husband Josh of Mabank, Texas, grandson Zachary Ward of Tool, Texas, great-grand daughters Alexyse, Delilah, Elizabeth, brother Charles Rogers and wife Jeanette of Corsicana, Texas, sister Dorothy Cantrell of Corsicana, Texas, and many other family members and life long friends.
