Born on October 17, 1940, in Houston, Texas, Jock was a son of the late Areal D. Peters and the late Dorothy Rose Auderer Peters.
Jock graduated from the University of Houston in 1963. He and Leona lived in Pueblo West, Colorado for 17 years and afterwards moved back to Texas to be closer to family. He retired from Texas A & M International University in Laredo, Texas. He and his wife are faithful members of Kemp Baptist Church.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his sisters-in-law Kathleen Starr and her husband, Jimmy, of Kemp, Texas, and Janis Schenkel of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one aunt; and numerous cousins.
