John Hewett was born on March 16, 1952 in Houston, Texas to parents Ulmer Randall and Betty Beatrice (Moser) Hewett and entered into eternal rest on April 12, 2019 at the age of 67. John graduated from Milby High School and worked as an Engineer for most of his life. He was kind hearted and was always willing to help people. John could fix anything. He enjoyed hiking, fishing and just being outdoors. John’s favorite pastime was being with his grandson and his dogs. He enjoyed traveling and really enjoyed going to Big Bend. John never met a stranger and was a great hugger. He was a horologist (clock repair) and worked on antique clocks. John also did wood work, small engine repair and was a computer wizard. He was an amazing husband, father and grandfather. John will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
John was preceded in death by his parents and uncle Rex Moser.
He is survived by his loving wife Valma Genoyce Hewett of Tool, daughter Shelly Renee Hewett of Houston, son Christopher Beau Hewett of Houston, daughter Samantha Joann Blanton of Tomball, son Donald Thomas Blanton and wife Tara of Huffman, daughter Nita Diaz DeLeon and husband Daniel of Dallas, grandsons; Connor Ray Blanton of Tomball, Viktor James Camerlink of Tomball and Reed Thomas Blanton of Huffman, sister Eva Duke of Porter, other loving family members and many more lifelong friends.
