John Lee Reed, was born August 23, 1999 in Irving, TX to parents John Wesley Riley and Elizabeth Ann Reed and entered into eternal rest on May 6, 2014 at the age of 14. John was known as “J.R.” by his family and friends. J.R. loved playing football and video games. He was a member of 4H and played in the band during 7th grade. J.R. had a great love for his family, especially his sisters.
J.R. was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; John and Otilia Riley.
He is survived by his mother Elizabeth Reed of Kerens, father John Riley and step-mother Teresa of Ft. Worth, sisters; Cerise Reed of Kerens, Vivian Riley of Ft. Worth, Marissa Riley of Ft. Worth, maternal grandparents Daniel and Linda Reed of Kerens, uncle Travis Reed of Austin, cousin Denice Reed of Austin, numerous aunts, uncles and other loving family members.
A public viewing will be held at Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Chapel in Mabank, Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 10AM – 11AM. A memorial service will be held at the Reed home in Kerens, Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 3PM
