

Jody was born on July 12, 1945 in Sanoma, California to parents Owen and Elsie (Cauthron) Garrison and entered into eternal rest on February 16, 2018 at the age of 72. Jody graduated from Hinton High School in Hinton, OK in 1963. He went to the Banking School in Oklahoma City and also attended Redlands Community College in El Reno, OK. Jody worked as a teller at several banks before going to work at the Bureau of Prisons for 23 years and retiring as a business manager. During his career he received the Assistant Directors Award, among many other. He married his sweetheart, Glenda Hitt, on August 20, 1966 in El Reno, OK at the courthouse. Jody was a Godly man and the sweetest man that God ever made. He was a good father and the best grandfather, AKA “Popa”. Jody was always very organized and dedicated, no matter he was working on. He was a member of Becker United Methodist Church in Becker; Jody loved God, his church and the people in it. Jody always had a special loved for the children and always made time to visit with them. He volunteered for 10 years at the Shoshone National Forest in Wyoming, worked with the Boy Scouts, where he was a troop leader, he helped out with the little league baseball and coached football. In his later years, he enjoyed being outdoors; fishing, golfing and camping. He was also a handyman and loved fixing things around the house. The best part of his time was spent with his family. He was a true family man and loved watching the grandkids play softball. Jody was an exceptional man, who was loved by all and he will be missed tremendously.
Jody was preceded in death by his parents, brother Leonard Garrison, father and mother-in-law; Roy Hitt and Modell, two nephews and one niece.
He is survived by his wife Glenda Garrison of Kemp, son Garland Garrison of Kemp, son Garod Garrison of Beaumont, granddaughter Kaitey Day and husband Caleb of Kaufman, granddaughter Callie Garrison of Dallas, grandson Samuel Garrison of Kaufman, granddaughter Isabella Garrison of Beaumont, brother William Lee Garrison and wife Kaye of Ardmore, OK, sister Katherine Chisum and husband Roy of Hinton, OK, brother Leslie Garrison and wife Billie of El Reno, OK, sister Brenda Holland of El Reno, OK, sister Valerie Musser and husband Frank of Oklahoma City, OK, brother Rick Garrison of Oklahoma City, OK, brother Terrall Garrison and wife Sandy of Hinton, OK, sister Cheryl Garrison of Oklahoma City, OK, sister Carol Garrison of Hinton, OK, sister-in-law Mary Kay Garrison of Chickasha, OK, sister-in-law Peggy Brantley of Midway City, OK, numerous nieces and nephews, other loving family members and many more friends.
