Mr. Joseph Master Harp, of Scurry, passed away on May 7, 2015 at the age of 55. Joseph was born on April 14, 1960 in Cincinnati, OH to parents Howard Edwin Harp and Ruth M. Camble. He was known to everyone as “Joe” and his family called him “Uncle Joe”. Joe was close to his family and he loved them dearly. Joe loved going fishing, doing genealogy, cooking and he was an avid reader. He attended Eastfield College and worked as a CPA for over 20 years. Joe was a great father to his two sons and was a loving caring man who will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. Joe was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his partner of 15 years Michael Collins of Scurry, sons; David Ray of Scurry and Colten Mallory of Scurry, step-children; Shawn Collins of Utah, Melissa Collins of Kemp and Jack Collins of McKinney, 10 grandchildren, sister Jan Purvis and husband Scott of Arlington, brother Michael Harp of Arlington, 1 nephew and 2 nieces, other loving family members and many more friends.
