

Judy was born on July 5, 1946 in Dallas, Texas to parents Jonas Jesse and Willie Melvina (Pruitt) Chambers and entered into eternal rest on August 31, 2017 at the age of 71. Judy was a sweet, loving and thoughtful person. She was kind and welcoming to all. Many knew Judy as “Memaw” and “Grandma Judy”. She loved taking pictures and collecting them; just on her cell phone she had over 4000 pictures. Judy loved taking pictures and spending time with her beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren; they were her life. She loved playing all board games, cards, dominoes and Farkle. Judy loved going shopping; Christmas was her favorite holiday. She would send cards to everyone for any occasion. Judy was a Christian lady and was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Kemp, Texas. She was strong in her faith; Judy was a prayer warrior. She loved singing and was very involved with her church and working for the Lord. Judy did a little bit of everything there, she was just the whole package. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, brother Billy Joe Chambers, sister Kathleen Faye Mason and nephew Terry Hudspeth.
She is survived by her loving husband Norman David Hood Sr. of Mabank, son Norman David Hood Jr. of Dallas, son Jacob Hood of Dallas, daughter Cathie Ann McPherson and husband Craig of Blum, son Mike Brazier and wife Kathy of Mabank, son David Wayne Hood and wife Twila of Dallas and daughter Michelle Hood-Bird and husband Bruce of Mabank, grandchildren; Jason, Tabitha, Clint, Melanie, Lyndsey, Steven, Tara, Shelby, Bianca, Brittany, Zac, Destiny and Kathy Sue, 15 precious great-grandchildren, other loving family members and many more friends.
