Kathryn Louise Burns, 74, of Gun Barrel City, Texas passed away on April 23, 2023. She was born May 10, 1948, in Dallas, Texas, to Lawrence James and Mary Katherine (Johnson) Boswell. Kathryn, known as Mema to all those who loved her, was the rock and the foundation of this caring family. Kathryn met the love of her life in Charles Burns who she married on October 6, 1981, and shared 41 wonderful years together. Kathryn loved to spend time at the lake, camping, fishing, cooking, relaxing, anything while looking at the water. Most of all, she lived for her grandchildren and the times she was able to spend with them. She adored quilting and collecting the knick knacks that she found. She also loved shopping on EBay while snuggling with her cherished Chihuahua, Dottie.
Kathryn is survived by her beloved husband, Charles Burns; daughters: Mary Stevens, Stacy Greene and husband Donald, Cynthia Davis; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother, Larry Boswell and wife Elaine; one niece, two nephews and other relatives.
She is preceded in death by daughters: Tina Wagner, Donna Laroque, Baby Wendy; son, Lil Dwight; parents, Lawrence and Mary Boswell.
