

Kevin Ray Merritt was born on January 28, 1965 in Dallas County, Texas to parents James Walter Bellah Jr. and Sandra Patton Bellah and entered into eternal rest on February 1, 2015 at the age of 50. Kevin loved his children and grandkids. He was known for sneaking sweets to the kids in his family and the neighborhood. Kevin enjoyed BAM racing with his dad and brother Jamie, this was a very special time to him. He liked to play darts, pool, farkle and dominoes with his many friends; that gathered at his home. Kevin loved singing karaoke with his wife, family and friends. He was a Dallas Cowboys fan and when they were playing, Kevin could be heard by most of the neighborhood. Kevin enjoyed hanging out around the bon fire with his family and friends; listening to music and sharing stories. During the summer you could always find him under the umbrella or sitting under the dock, so he didn’t burn. He enjoyed Sunday gatherings at the POA, swimming and riding jet skis. Kevin loved hanging out around the house or lake in this red, white and blue swim trunks with his work boots, he was a sight. He worked for Compressors Unlimited for over 20 years, where he was a machinist. Kevin was a Christian man, who was very loved and will be missed tremendously by those who knew and loved him.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his loving wife Kimmie Merritt, daughter Brittani Merritt, daughter Dena Merritt, son Kevin James Merritt, son Kyle Seay, daughter Heather Seay, mother Sandra Bellah, 7 grandchildren, sister; Rhonda Shaffer, brother Larry Merritt, brother James Bellah III, sister Lou-Lou Butler and husband Rod, sister Tammy Smith and husband Randy, sister Ginna Sanders, sister Dottie Farmer and husband David, brother Keith Merritt, brother Billy Merritt, brother Daniel Merritt, best friends; Brian, Jon and Jack, a host of extended family and friends.
