Kevin Eugene Shaffner

Kevin Eugene Shaffner, age 53, of Eustace, Texas passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022. Kevin was born August 6, 1968 in Dallas, TX. to parents, Gene Everett Shaffner and Marie Louise Martin. He was a hardworking and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather; who enjoyed teaching and telling stories. Kevin was a down to earth man, who loved spending time with his family, cooking, fishing; as well as a good conversation. Like so many, Kevin enjoyed watching his favorite team play football; the Dallas Cowboys. He was a diligent Water Operator for the Payne Springs Municipal Corp for many years. Kevin will be truly missed by all of those he knew and met.

He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Daisy Blood, Anna Mae Shaffner; grandfathers, Ridgle Matthew Shaffner; George Lewis; step-grandfather, Henry Woolbright; and brother, Chris Hinkle.

Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Crystal Shaffner of Eustace, TX.; parents, Marie and Gene Shaffner of Eustace, TX.; brothers, Mark Shaffner and wife Bernice of Eustace, TX. Steve Shaffner of Longview, TX.; sister, Kerri Morris of Eustace, TX.; children, Brandie Fitch and husband Devon of Henrietta, TX., Matthew Shaffner of Dallas, TX., Amber Hutchinson and husband Shawn of Weatherford, TX. Candace Donaghey of Eustace, TX., Cody Donaghey of Denver, CO., Mason Shaffner and wife Traci of Gun Barrel City, TX., Cassidy Donaghey of Gun Barrel City, TX. Cierra Donaghey of Eustace, TX.; 18 grandchildren, Joshua, Hannah, Jonathan, Jaxon, Paisley, Colton, Carson, Madison, Jace, Serenity, Justyce, Sabra, Harper, Aria, Cora Lynn, Stevie Leigh, Zoey, and Lillian.

A memorial service for Kevin will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Eubank Memorial Chapel, 601 S. 3rd St. Mabank, TX.
