She is survived by her parents, Rocky and Marsha Weatherford of Trinidad, sister Kecia Clendening and husband Kirk of Henderson, brother, Kyle and wife Katy of Palestine.
She is also survived by three nieces whom she loved and adored; Konlie and Kambrie Clendening and Kenly Weatherford, her paternal grandmother, Joyce Weatherford of Brinkley, Arkansas, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close Christian friends with whom she loved to travel. She is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Robert and Edna Bonewell and paternal grandfather, Charles Weatherford.
Kyla attended Trinity Valley Community College in Athens. She received her Undergraduate degree from East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, and her graduate degree in School Psychology from the University of Texas in Tyler.
She worked for Barber’s Hill Independent School District in Mont Belvieu as a Licensed Specialized School Psychologist where she served children with special needs.
Her passion for Missions around the world inspired so many. Her Mission ministry took her to Romania, Spain, China, Germany, Sri Lanka, Mexico, and Alaska working with many people groups and she treasured her experiences.
Kyla loved to travel and spent many wonderful times traveling with friends to fulfill her dream of visiting all fifty states in the USA.
Kyla loved her Lord and served Him faithfully at First Baptist Church of Houston in many capacities.
She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
