Larry Dean Butler was born on September 3, 1945 and entered into eternal rest on February 23, 2021 at the age of 75 years old. Larry was a hard headed, hard working man. His strength and determination led him to serve as a Marine for three tours in Vietnam and earned him the honor of 2 Purple Hearts. Larry served our country bravely and honorably as he fought alongside his brothers in dangerous wartime and deadly conditions. His spirit never waivered, he was always up for a good argument and was never afraid to speak his mind. When he transitioned back to civilian life he continued to work hard and support his family as an diesel mechanic for many years. Larry was a dedicated father and devoted grandfather to his children and grandchildren as well as a great brother and uncle. He loved to spend time with them, especially playing video games and fishing. Larry was a great man and his family will miss his presence immensely.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Suzanna Whitt; James Robert Whitt. He is survived by his sons, Lawrence Butler and wife Stephanie, Timothy Butler and wife Lisa, Adam Butler and wife Kenny, Jan Butler, Jenna Hadder and husband Gary; 18 grandchildren, 24 greatgrandchildren; sister, Helen Sanders and husband Willie; brother, Woody Simmons. Larry also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
