LaTasha Leeann Sims was born on October 11, 1987 to parents Cynthia Diane Stamps and Michael Thomas Hennington. She entered eternal rest on September 13, 2020. LaTasha was a beautiful soul. She married the love of her life on August 6, 2011. She was an amazing wife, loved her husband with every ounce of her soul. You could almost feel their love by just looking at their pictures. LaTasha was brave, adventurous and loved the outdoors. Some of her favorite activities were going mudding and riding four wheelers. She also loved the water, dancing, dogs and her “liquid sandwiches”. LaTasha was an amazing, devoted mother and pushed her kids to strive for success. She made sure her daughter got to pursue her love of football and got to play on the high school freshman football team. Latasha taught her children to work hard and make their dreams happen. They were her pride and joy. Her family was her entire world, she loved taking care of them and was very supportive and caring to them all. LaTasha loved spending time with her friends and was always there for anyone in need. They all knew they could count on her. LaTasha was funny, smart, fierce and loyal. Her family and friends were blessed by having her in their lives. She was a light to anyone who knew her and will be missed by many. LaTasha never sat still, she was always on the move. If she wasn’t spending time with her family, she was doing stuff with her friends. LaTasha was preceded in death by her grandmother; Carol Stamps, aunt and uncle; Stacy and Jerry Stamps, and cousin; Jaron Newby. She is survived by her husband; Gary Sims, daughters; Ashtin Gutierrez, Addison Giba, Ambrie Sims, mother; Cindy Stamps, sister; Lacy Morgan and husband Wesley, brother; Michael Hennington and her grandparents; Jerry and Margaret Stamps, Aunt Tracy King, uncles; Greg and Mark Stamps. Latasha also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, many lifelong friends and many other family members.

My dearest condolences and sympathy for LaTasha's family as they mourn the loss of a beautiful soul.

I came to know Tasha about a year ago. She was referred to my boutique from my children's Godmother, Lydia. Tasha was such a laid back and gentle person. She had a huge heart and was forever thinking of others. I remember at one time she was shopping for goodies and had a whole list of people to buy for. I made a comment about it not even being Christmas yet and she said "you're right but these people deserve to be celebrated all year long."

In closing I will say, as you grieve and mourn the loss of this beautiful soul know that she is just an arms reach away, your forever angel she will always be.

I was at the Dr office checking out when she asked me if I knew Duke Stamps. I said yes, he’s my Uncle. She said she knew I was related. I thought that was amazing! I told her I was aunt Betty’s daughter and she said she was Duke’s granddaughter! We just laughed , she was such a beautiful girl, so sweet and caring! I loved her automatically!

Tasha, I didn't know you very, very well...but I can honestly say that you, Gary and the girls are some of the best neighbors I have ever had. You had such a gentle, sweet soul and I wish we could have hung out more. You were taken too soon and that is something that you nor your family deserves. I know that you will be watching over them from up above....Fly High with Angel Wings and Rest in Peace dear, sweet lady.

Tasha you were a damn good mom and wife to Gary and the girls. You always had more smiles and love to give. You will be terribly missed but never forgotten. You were a great woman and was taken too soon. But don't worry about Gary and Addi Ashtin and Ambrie they have an army of family and friends if they ever need anything. R.I.P fly high with the angels and watch over them from above cuz we all got them down here.Love you
