Lawrence Chandler Royal was born to parents, Chandler and Joyce Royal on May 2, 1952. He entered into eternal rest on January 28, 2021. Lawrence was known as Larry to everyone who knew him, he was a wise and generous man with a huge heart and a strong shoulder to lean on.
Larry worked in IT support and was a part of a motorcycle club and really enjoyed riding his bike. He was also an art enthusiast, a gun enthusiast, and a collector of weird items like paperweights and old coins. One time, when he moved back to Texas, his granddaughter was helping to unpack the paperweights and she said "Grampa I really like your balls" I think he was mortified by his six year old granddaughter at that moment.
Larry was a kind man and would talk to anyone who would listen, the story might change depending on who it was and he really would have given the shirt off his back to a friend in need. Larry always had an open door policy, a hot cup of coffee, and an “it will be what it will be” attitude. He gave the best bear hugs and told the best stories with big belly laughs. Larry was particular about his afternoon naps and his grandkids would tell you all about "Grumpy Grampa".
Larry was preceded in death by his parents Chandler and Joyce Royal; sister Susy Saunders and his step-son Adam Kobie. He has left behind his wife Judy Royal; daughter, Channa Goodman; his step-sons, Neil Wagner and Robert Dickens; five grandchildren; sister, Tere Royal and numerous friends and family who loved him dearly.
