

Leonard Wayne Andrus, born on December 20, 1961, in Dallas, Texas, bid farewell to this world on December 29, 2023, in Gun Barrel City, Texas. He was the beloved son of Leonard Andrus and Lillie Pearl (Ainsworth) Andrus.
Leonard found joy in life's simple pleasures, relishing moments spent hunting, fishing, and mowing the land he cherished. His heart swelled with love for his family, friends, and, most of all, his grandchildren. A dedicated provider, he worked tirelessly to support his loved ones, always extending a helping hand to those in need.
In moments of repose, you'd find Leonard with a cup of coffee in hand, savoring the quiet moments. His kindness, love, and patience touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. Leonard took pride in his trucks and the accomplishments he achieved throughout his journey.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Lillie Pearl Andrus, his sister Cynthia (Cindy) Andrus, his brother William Spivey, and his son John David Andrus.
Leonard is survived by his wonderful wife, Oleta Andrus, his daughters Rebecca (Andrus) Wainionpa and husband Israel, and Karla Andrus. His memory lives on in the hearts of his sisters, Rebecca Lasater and Ann Andrus, and his brother, David Andrus. Leonard's legacy extends to his grandchildren: Kristin, Izzy, Levi, Mahkayla, and Leona.
He leaves behind cherished connections, including Jonathan Marker and Hannah Matthews, Chantel Loller and Wesley Palmer, Courtney and Chris Wingo, Michael Draughon, and all their children. Numerous nieces, nephews, and friends also hold a special place in Leonard's heart.
In celebrating Leonard's life, let us remember the warmth of his spirit, the generosity of his actions, and the love that continues to bind us together. May he rest in peace, forever etched in our memories.

Visitation and Services will be held Saturday, January 6, 2023 at Rope, Catch and Ride Cowboy Church in Mabank, Texas. Visitation starts at 1 pm and Service at 2:30 pm. Burial at King Cemetery in Kemp, Texas shortly after.
