Born on March 11, 1966, in Fort Carson, Colorado, he was a son of Leonard Leroy Boyd, Sr. and Anita Rae Austin Boyd.
Leonard was a truck driver by trade. He was a member of the Log Cabin Volunteer Fire Department. He loved fishing, hunting for Big Foot, and playing the guitar. He loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle and loved to ride the roads. Leonard had a love for Jesus and his family in his heart.
Leonard is survived by his beloved wife, Julianna Jo Boyd of Payne Springs; son Leonard Leroy Boyd III and wife, Norma Boyd, of Dallas. He had three grandchildren, Lailah, Katelynn, and Colt Jamison; sister Brenda Ferguson and husband, Dale Ferguson, of Gun Barrel City; niece Heather Boatright and husband, Daniel Boatright, of Mabank; sisters-in-law Nelda Funk of Mabank and Darlene Mitchell of Mabank; brothers-in-law Robert Mitchell and wife, Lee Ann, of Mabank, William Eugene Mitchell of Mabank, and Dennis Mitchell of Mabank; nephew Johnny Funk, Jr. of Mabank; nieces Rhonda Ragan and husband, Shawn Ragan, of Hugo, Oklahoma and Angela Rhea of Crandall; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Dennis Mitchell, Robert Mitchell, Eugene Mitchell, Johnny Funk, Jr., Dale Ferguson, and Danny Hilliard will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Christian Life Center Church in Gun Barrel City at 11 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Oaklawn Cemetery in Mabank.
