Leonard was born on November 1, 1937 in Dallas County, TX to parents Arthur and Florence (Farner) Moore and entered into eternal rest on May 16, 2014 at the age of 76. Leonard was known as “Grandpa” by his grandchildren and “Uncle Grandpa” by the neighboring children. He loved being his with family, especially his grandchildren. Leonard enjoyed working crosswords and puzzles. He loved to paint and be outside, whether it was fishing or doing yard work. Leonard worked in the construction and carpentry business for over 50 years. He was a leader in the Boy Scouts for 7 years and volunteered with the VFW. Leonard was Baptist by faith and attended First Assembly of God Church in Azle. He was a very loving and caring man, who will be missed by all who knew him.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, son Johnny Moore and sister Helen Moore.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Rosie Moore of Decatur, daughter Donna Wolosek and husband Randy of Ft. Worth, grandchildren; Takoda, Melissa and Jaylin, brother Ray Moore of Lake Tawakoni, numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many friends.
