Marion Womack Jr. was born to parents Marion Womack Sr. and Zola (Hubbard) Womack, on August 16, 1962. He entered into eternal rest on January 4, 2021, at the age of 58. Marion was a friendly, funny and kind man. He never met a stranger; he loved to chat and was always ready with a joke and smile. Marion was a hard worker and after graduating from Garland High School he went on to work in the retail field for 30 years. Marion then moved on to Corrections and spent 11 years on the Gurney Unit at Tennessee Colony as a correctional officer. He was dependable, honest and took his role seriously. On September 23, 2006 Marion married the love of his life, Catherine, and they began their journey together. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. Marion always put his family above everything, they were his life’s joy. In his free time, Marion enjoyed fishing, cooking, yard work and he always loved to be outdoors, doing just about anything, especially if it involved being with his beautiful family.
Marion was preceded in death by his father, Marion Womack Sr., he is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Womack; children, Monique, Tyrone, and Deante Womack, Adrienne Harrison and husband Brian, Angela Sims and husband Charles, Cathy Sevilland, Wayland Whitlock and wife Madison, Byron Whitlock and wife Stormie Haley, Brandon Whitlock and a whole host of grandchildren; as well as his siblings, Carl and Rowna Womack and mother Zola Womack. Marion was loved by all and will be truly missed.
