Mrs. Maxine "Granny" Davis

Maxine “Granny” Davis, age 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 22, 2019 with her family by her side. She was a devoted mother and caregiver working in the nursing field for over 25 years. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Mabank, and thoroughly enjoyed Friday afternoons playing dominos with her friends. She also loved studying the Bible and Jewish history.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin, of 60 years.

She is survived by her children: Joyce Watkins of Fruitvale, TX, Royce Davis of Mabank, Chyrl Embry and husband, Ben, of Mabank, Kenneth Davis and wife, Elaine of Canton, TX, Toni Johnson and husband, Michiel of Bossier City, Louisiana and Betty Ray of Florence, Alabama. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
