

Celebration of life services for Nancy Matilda Williams, also known as "Fancy Nancy", 100, of Eustace, Texas will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Park in Mabank, Texas with Bro. Robert Reeve officiating. Visitation with the family will be held Wednesday evening from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
Nancy passed from this life on June 8, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 11, 1924, in Kaufman, Texas to James Franklin and Flossie (Steward) Hamilton. She grew up in Kaufman before marrying Oscar Williams and moving to the Dallas area. There they raised four children and Nancy enjoyed going dancing on a frequent basis. She got together with her close friends to play 42 and other domino games on a regular schedule between cooking her favorite meals for her family of chicken and dumplings or red beans. Nancy always liked to dress up and wear a hat when she went out, acquiring the name of “Fancy Nancy” to all who knew her.
Nancy is preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Shaffer; grandsons: Russell Bednar, Preston Poston; great-granddaughter, Amanda Hunt; great-grandson, Richard Bednar; beloved partner for 35 years, Oscar Williams; parents, J.F. and Flossie Hamilton; and 13 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Andrews and husband Johnny; sons: Marlin Williams and wife Joe Ann, Ronald Williams and wife Connie; grandchildren: Luther, Cheryl, Angie, Jessica, Jamie Joe, Tracie, Michael, Ronda, Kortni, Gary, Kristi; 23 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
