Nell Elizabeth Kennon Page was born February 8, 1927, in Birmingham, Alabama. She left us on August 21, 2024, for a glorious reunion with her husband of 60 years, her parents, sisters, brother and daughter-in-law.
Her children Frank H. Page, Jr., Patricia S. Engelke and Maria A. Huffman, their spouses, seven grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren remain behind, but take comfort that she is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She loved Jazz, as did our father, and her children grew up listening to the Jazz icons of their time. She was a homemaker and loved her home and garden. She loved walking with her grandchildren to McNay museum to play in the gardens and gazebo, and sit by the pond of goldfish and turtles. She loved writing letters. Her family was the beneficiary of letters of wisdom and advice, and though sometimes unsolicited, her letters are treasured. She kept every card and post card she ever received. We are grateful for the help and compassion of the team from Hospice Plus, Sherry, Nettie, Shanna and Amanda.
Our mother’s final resting place will be at Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio, Texas, after a family gathering.
