

Born on July 13, 1943, in Fort Worth, Texas, Nita was a daughter of the late George Henry Lasater and the late Laverne Isham Lasater.
Throughout her life Nita lived in Texas, Missouri, and California. Her passion in life was to help as many people as she possibly could, she loved to donate and give back to people in her community. Nita loved riding her Harley Davidson Motorcycle, she took several trips on her bike to Bandera, Arkansas, and many bars in Texas. Nita owned a local bar “Sensations” in Grand Prairie for many years before she bought Walkers Landing at Cedar Creek Lake, where she has lived for over 33 years. Her most recent hobby was going to the Flower Farm in Mabank visiting Dayamis and her beautiful flowers, she said it was the most peaceful place she has ever been. Up until a week before she passed, she was making sour dough rolls which kept her busy.
Nita is survived by her daughters Cherry LuAnn Staines of Ben Wheeler, Texas and Tina Pauline Rawlings of Waxahachie, Texas; stepson Jeffery Walker; granddaughters, Tiffany Leffingwell, Amanda Staines, Shelby Heine, and Ashton Bradbury; seven great-grandchildren Taylor Forester, Skylar Forester, Evan Thompson, Ciara Thompson, Rori Bradbury, Pacyn Heine, and Beckett Bradbury; two step great-grandchildren Ellis and Nora Heine; four great-great-grandchildren Onyx, Raven, Aero, and Jet. In addition, her two brothers Jim Lasater and Kim Lasater.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers Donald Wayne Lasater and Guy Alden Lasater.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 12 p.m. at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank, Texas
