Born on January 16, 1938, in Aley, Texas, Norman was a son of the late Virgil Thomas and the late Willie Eleanor Jones Thomas.
Norman and June married in June of 1961. He received a bachelor’s from Texas A & M and a master’s from East Texas State University. He taught vocational agriculture for 20 years. He owned and operated Mabank Feed and Fertilizer for 16 years. He enjoyed raising registered black angus cattle for many years. He was faithful member of Mabank Church of Christ.
Along with his parents and wife, Norman was preceded in death by a son, Barry Thomas.
He is survived by his children Joel Craig Thomas and his wife, Shelia, of Granbury, Texas, and Vonda Leann Thomas of Mabank, Texas; his grandchildren Blaine and Bryce Thomas.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Mabank Church of Christ in Mabank, Texas. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place privately at Elm Grove Cemetery in Mabank, Texas.
