Patricia George

Patricia Ann Gibson George "Pat" was born on October 20, 1940 to her parents, Alice Myers and Wade Gibson in Commerce, Texas. She was the baby girl out of eight children. She had three sisters and four brothers: Francis; Sue; Larry; George; LJ; Bobby and Bill. Pat was a woman who loved the Lord and her family. She met the love of her life, Horace Wayne George at 13 years old and fell head over heels, the two only knew each other for 10 days before saying their vows on September 18, 1954. They soon started a family with their first child Patricia on August 23, 1955, their second Del on September 19, 1956, their third Linda on September 19, 1957 and then a fourth child Susan on September 30, 1958. A few years they would grow their family with Debbie on November 22, 1960 and Eugene on November 1, 1964. The two also raised two grandchildren, Christina Born on December 4, 1974 and Robert born on February 16, 1979. From the little tree that her and Horace started they have 14 grandchildren: Christina; David; Donald; Dan; Will; Michael; Bobby; Robert; Cody; Kenneth; Misty; Lindsey; Patricia and Nicole. Those grandchildren blessed them with 37 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Pat's legacy lives on in the roots of that little tree started many years ago. She is preceded in death by her: husband Horace; son Eugene and two great grandchildren; Hannah Smith and Carly Jeter.

Patricia was surrounded by loved ones when she went home to be with her heavenly Father at 80 years old in Athens, Texas on August 17, 2021.
