Patricia Perkins

Patricia Sapp Perkins was born on May 18, 1946, in Prairieville, Texas at the Old House. She passed away in Tyler, Texas on August 1, 2026, at the age of 80. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who will be greatly missed.

She lived a life filled with love, laughter, friendship, and an unwavering devotion to the people and community she held dear. Her family was the greatest joy of her life, and she loved them with her whole heart. She treasured every opportunity to gather with family and friends, whether it was for a special occasion, a holiday, a casual get-together, or simply a chance to sit around the table and laugh together.

She loved Mabank and took great pride in being part of the community she called home. She also had more Panther Pride than most kids today! She proudly supported her school and loved cheering on her team, celebrating the traditions, memories, and spirit that connected her to the place she loved.

Those who knew her will remember her infectious laughter, her warm heart, and the joy she brought into a room. She knew how to have a good time and never needed much of an excuse to get together with the people she loved. Her laughter was contagious, and her presence made ordinary moments feel special.

And then there was her spicy side. She was never one to leave you guessing about how she felt. Whether it was about food, people, or a particular situation, you could always count on her to let you know exactly what was on her mind! She had opinions—and she wasn't afraid to share them. Most of us have witnessed one of those moments when her saltiness came out, and the only thing left to do was shake our heads, exchange a knowing look, and giggle. Those moments, which may have seemed like a lot at the time, are now some of the memories that will make us smile the most. Her honesty, strong personality, and unmistakable way of expressing herself were simply part of what made her her.

And then there was her love of shopping. She could always find a reason to browse the stores, but she had a particular weakness for purses and shoes. She appreciated a good handbag, loved a great pair of shoes, and never seemed to mind adding just one more to the collection. After all, there is always room for another purse—and you can never have too many shoes!

Above all, she will be remembered for the love she gave so freely. She created memories that will be cherished for generations and leaves behind a legacy of family, friendship, community, laughter, school pride, and love—with just the right amount of spice and salt.

Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will live on in the stories we tell, the traditions we carry forward, the laughter we share, and the countless memories she gave us. We will remember her when we gather around the table, when we cheer for our team, when we find the perfect purse or pair of shoes, and especially when someone says exactly what everyone else was thinking.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered—with laughter, with love, and perhaps with a little head-shaking and giggling along the way.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Eddie Sapp of Prairieville, sister Pamela Sapp Stryker of Mabank, daughter Julie Marchelle Woodard Krzan, granddaughter Riley Savanna Krzan, and step-son Kyle Perkins.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Dennis Perkins of Mabank, son Jeffory Woodard and spouse Della of Phalba, Randy Perkins of Carrollton, Tyson Perkins of Waco, Kim Thomas and husband Todd of Mabank, Broocke Moore and husband Tommy of Scurry, Chris Perkins of Mabank, granddaughter Courtney Buss and husband Donald, grandson Ry Woodard and wife Rylie, grandson Caleb Clark, Jon Hammer and wife Brittany of Scurry, Broocke Anderson and husband Brandon of Waxahachie, Garrett Lewis and wife Emily of Fate, Haley Shaw and husband Kyler of Van, Heather Perkins of Kemp, Katie Perkins of Lewisville, Conner Moore of Scurry, great grandchildren Eli Jimenez, Cooper and Dutton Buss, Baron Woodard, Jackson, Colby, and Hudson Hammer, Tatum Anderson, Montana Mae Miller, Marley Joe Miller and Kolt Shaw. And a long list of nieces, nephews, great and even great-great nieces and nephews that loved her more than she will ever know.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank, Texas. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in Mabank, Texas.
