Pearl Francis (Eggers) Lewis was born on June 20, 1950, to parents Edwin Joe and Geneva Lavena (Terry) Eggers. She entered into eternal rest on December 28, 2020, at the age of 70. Pearl was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, partner, sister and friend. She was a lively and vivacious woman, strong, independent and hard working. Pearl had a lifelong love of games, any kind. She was a big fan of the Game Show Network and Buzzer. Pearl loved bowling in her younger days, playing softball, board games, and dominoes. She was always very competitive and that spirit of competition and love of dominoes led her to win several “42” tournaments over the years. Pearl also loved bluegrass festivals, and Senior Jam. However, her love of the Lord was above and beyond all of those. Pearl was a member of the Cedar Creek Church, and you could see her love in the way she cared for others and her willingness to serve in so many areas of her life. When Pearl wasn’t working as a correctional officer or volunteering her time to the Payne Springs Fire department, her favorite pastime was spoiling her grandchildren.
Pearl was preceded in death by her father Edwin Eggers, mother Geneva (Terry) Gauwain, husband Jerry Lewis, the father of her children Billy Mathews and sister Ira Edith Builta.
She is survived by her companion of the last 10 years, Charles LeCroy, son Jason Lewis and wife Allison of Mabank TX, daughter Amy Bradshaw and husband Casey of Mabank TX, grandchildren; Cody Mathews, Kadee Lewis, Dylan Lewis, and Kinsley Lewis, stepchildren, brother Eddie Eggers and wife Wilma of Yulee, FL, sister Charlene Eggers of Combine, TX, numerous nieces and nephews, step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pearl also leaves behind other loved ones and lifelong friends. She was well loved and will be truly missed.
