Rachel Eugenia Wardlow, age 92, of Tyler, Texas passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023. Rachel was born on June 24, 1930, in Brownwood Texas. She grew up in Brownwood, Texas and met her husband, Henry George Wardlow there. Rachel and Henry moved from Brownwood Texas and raised their family in Irving, Texas.
Rachel was an expert seamstress, creating beautiful wedding dresses, homecoming gowns and beaded costumes for skaters and other professionals. She was a homemaker, raising three children. Survivors include one daughter Linda Bedford (James) of Oklahoma City, a son, Don Wardlow of Irving Texas and another son, Thomas Wardlow (Kim) of Franklin Tennessee, five grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Henry George Wardlow.
A committal service for Rachel will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Park, 16701 N State HWY 198, Mabank, TX.
