Mr. Robert F. Golden

Robert was born on May 8, 1937 in Calhoun, Louisiana to parents Aurice Harlston and Ethel Annie (Walker) Golden and entered into eternal rest on November 14, 2017 at the age of 80. Robert married the love of his life, Barbara, on December 20, 1957 in Dallas, Texas. He worked for the Dallas Fire Department, retiring in 1988. Robert enjoyed being outdoors; hunting and fishing. He loved being with his family; especially his grandchildren. Robert was a Mason at Oak Cliff Gibraltar Lodge. He was a member of Grace Community Church. Robert was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, brother Aurice Golden Jr., sisters; Verine Freeman and Faye Brunson, son-in-law Ronnie Woodard and two great-granddaughters; Macey and Jacey Stegall.

He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Golden of Gun Barrel City, son Robby Golden and wife Susan of Red Oak, daughter Robin Woodard of Mabank, grandchildren; Justin Golden and wife Ashley, Nick Scott and wife Caroline, Aaron Golden and wife Shade, Lindsey Woodard and fiancé Austin Pogue, Charlie Woodard and wife Amanda and Jacob Woodard, great-grandchildren; Hunter, Adisyn, Cooper, Corbin, Olivia, Kylee, Kollins, Harper, Nash and Knox, other loving family members and many more friends.
