Robert Glynn Hamilton

Born on August 15, 1943, in Kemp, Texas, Bob was a son of the late Vergil D. Hamilton and the late Bessie Sutton Hamilton and was the baby of 8 siblings.

Bob graduated in 1963 from Kemp High School. Bob married Mary Susan Pierson Hamilton in 1963 and had three sons. He later married Mary Pauline Hartman Hamilton in 1995 and gained four bonus kids. He was a carpenter by trade and prided himself for having a hand in building several skyscrapers and other buildings in downtown Dallas. Bob loved to travel, watch westerns and spend time with his family, especially his grandkids.

Along with his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Susan Pierson Hamilton; brothers, Clyde and Buster Hamilton; sisters, Margie Greenhaw, Viola Moseley, and Willie Evans; granddaughter Ashley Hamilton (Craig); and daughter-in-law, Connie Schroeder (Phil).

Along with his wife, he is survived by his brother, Grady Hamilton (Sue), and sister Janice Martin (Dee). He shares three sons with his first wife, Robert, Jr. (Tina), Craig (Marla), and Michael (Angela); bonus children, Bill (Linda), Phil, Larry (Suzon), and Camille (David); his grandchildren Robert III, Kourtney (Chris), Mary, Brant, Lacey, Tyler, Emily, Kaylee (Alex), Zachery, Madalynn, Danielle, Micah, Tiffany, Johnathan (Tina), David, Megan, Faith, and Jeremy; and his great-grandchildren, Hunter and Garrett (Tiffany), Quinn (Kourtney), Jae’leigh, and Cameryn (Brant), Zoe (Johnathan); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

An informal graveside memorial service for close family will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 10 am at Elm Grove Cemetery Pavilion in Mabank, Texas.
