Born on December 2, 1987, in Dallas, Texas, Robert was a son of Robert Eugene Woods, Sr. and Jeanene Denise Godwin Staats.
Robert loved being at the lake, and he had a passion for anything with a fast motor, always drawn to the thrill and excitement it brought. In his downtime, Robert enjoyed playing pool and darts, often sharing friendly competition with those around him.
He had a giving heart and a natural ability to lead, which showed in his time spent coaching soccer. Above all, Robert cherished time with his children and family. They were the center of his world, and he took every opportunity to create lasting memories with them.
Robert began his career as a plumber in his teenage years, proudly following in his father’s footsteps. Over the years, he dedicated himself not only to his craft but also to helping friends grow and succeed in their own careers, always willing to lend a hand or share his knowledge. In 2026, Robert took a bold step alongside his significant other and started his own plumbing business “Woods Plumbing”. It was more than just a livelihood; it was a reflection of his dedication, strong work ethic, and his deep belief in building something meaningful for his family and their future.
Robert was a man who stood apart not because he sought attention, but because of the quiet, steady way he showed up for others. He was never one to follow the crowd; instead, he carved his own path with kindness, strength, and an unwavering willingness to help anyone in need.
He loved deeply and without hesitation. Those who knew him understood that his heart held no room for hate, only compassion, patience, and understanding. His presence brought comfort, and his actions spoke louder than words ever could.
Robert will be remembered for his generosity, his strength, and the genuine love he gave so freely. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and, most importantly, in his children, who carry forward the best parts of who he was.
He is preceded in death by his father Robert Woods, Sr.; grandfather Dewey Woods; and grandmother Alice Woods.
Robert is survived by his mother, Jeanene Staats; his children, Kaleb Woods and Kendal Woods, shared with their mother, April Nixson; as well as Kobe Sawyer, Sophie Brady, and Annamarie Sawyer; his significant other, Lee Anna Brady; his brothers and sisters, Ryan Woods, Tylar Woods, and Korey Woods and his spouse, Cheyenne, Jacob, Tanya, and Lauren Staats; his nieces, Nova Woods, Ryleigh Woods, and Raelynn Woods; his nephews, Ryan Woods, Jr., and Kaden Woods; his uncles and aunts, Michael Woods, Sr., and his spouse, Tina, Brandon and Beth Woods, and Melissa Woods and Willie; along with numerous cousins.
A celebration of Robert’s life will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank, Texas.
