Roberta was born on February 5, 1945, in Dallas, Texas, and was a daughter of the late Oscar Panizzi and the late Sarah Campbell Panizzi. Roberta was raised in and attended school in Dallas. On June 21, 1962, she married the love of her life, Martin. Together they raised three boys. The Kennedy family moved several times following Martin’s job. They made their home in Dallas, Kentucky, Nebraska, Kansas, and Virginia before Martin retired. Roberta worked as a bookkeeper and thoroughly loved her job.
Roberta was an avid animal lover and could not resist a dog that needed a home. She was a long-time supporter of the Humane Society. She often shared her home with as many as 5 dogs at a time. Roberta was well known for her kind and generous nature. She could not resist helping anyone that was in need, people or animals.
Roberta was a proud Texan, a very devout Catholic, and a very proud Patriotic American. The way she lived her life reflected these values. Roberta was a very die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. She never missed a game, or the opportunity to toss her foam bricks at the TV in protest of a bad play or call. Whether it be animals, people, her Catholic faith, Dallas Cowboys, or American Patriotism, Roberta lived her life to the fullest and her generous heart shined through to all she knew.
Roberta is survived by her sons, Brian Christopher Kennedy of Gun Barrel City, Texas, Sean Patrick Kennedy and his wife, Robin, of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, and Steven Louis Kennedy and his wife, Sufalek, of Malakoff, Texas; and four grandchildren, Georgia, Dakota, Jasmine, and Martin.
