Rose Marie Stairs was born to parents Joseph and Alberta Wells on July 6, 1953 in Marion, Indiana. She entered into eternal rest on February 9, 2022 at 1:03pm surrounded by her loving family. When Rose was 7 she lost her beloved mother and was blessed with her beautiful mother, Geraldine. Rose was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, an avid animal lover and was known to her family as an RN, (rock nut). Rose was a bold and protective woman, she loved hard and she fought hard, her family knew that she was always in their corner and had their backs, no matter what the situation was. Her beauty on the outside matched the beauty on the inside, she was kind, generous (sometimes too generous) loving, and had a wicked sense of humor. Rose was a truly strong and amazing woman and raised her family in a no non-sense, complete loyalty, and lots of love. Rosie was Paul's one true love and they had an amazing life's journey together, through the ups and the downs, she stood right by his side. When she became a grandmother she received the greatest blessing this side of heaven. She treasured each and every moment she got to spend with them, making precious memories that they will now carry with them for the rest of their lives. If you were blessed enough to become Rose's friend, you had a friend for life. Rose lived and she loved life to the fullest, finding or bringing the joy in every situation. Rose was a genuinely special woman and anyone who's life she touched will forever remember her love, she will be missed by all who knew her.
Rose is survived by her beloved husband, Paul W.Stairs Jr.; son, Brandon Micah Stairs and wife Shellie; daughter, Halley Marie Stairs and husband Brandon Edwards; son, Billy Joel Stairs; son Jon Olson; brothers, Steven Hunt, Mark Wells and wife Joyce, Joe Wells and wife Michelle; sisters, Sandy Wells, Susan Smith, Bert Hiatt.
Rose was preceded in death by father, Joseph Wells; mother, Alberta Wells; mother, Geraldine Wells; sister, Linda Wells O'Banion; and brother, Kelly B. Dozier.
A visitation for Rose will be held Monday, February 14, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A a celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Eubank Cedar Creek Chapel A burial will take place Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Park
