Ruby Jean Schoeni

Ruby was born in Brashear, Texas on June 26, 1931 to parents Cleburne F. Robertson and Sarah Bessie Wallace and entered into eternal rest on April 17, 2016 at the age of 84. Ruby’s hobby was her family. She was a precious lady that was much loved. Ruby loved baking cakes; and was known for her Carrot and Italian Cream cakes. She enjoyed being outdoors working in her flowers beds and gardening; then canning the veggies she grew. Ruby loved traveling; family vacation to New Mexico, Carlsbad Cavern, White Sand Hills, NM, and Monahan’s State Park in Texas. She was very active; she loved to dancing at the Senior Citizen Center, exercising and playing the piano. Ruby liked garage sales and going to the thrift stores. She went to church at Jackson Church of Christ. Ruby was a loving wife, mother, grandma, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She will be missed tremendously by all those who knew and loved her.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 42 years before his passing in 1992; Ray Payne; son Arvin Payne.

She is survived by her daughter Terry Bookman and husband Bobby, son Mark Payne and wife Tyann, granddaughter Misty Buchanan, grandson; Jacob Payne and wife Amanda, Bronson Payne and wife Krista and Dustin Payne and wife Dawn, granddaughter Novalene Payne, grandson Creed Payne, great-grandsons; Dyland White and wife Nichole and Jordan Aslin and wife Sarah, great-great granddaughter Abigail White, great-grandchildren; Lyra, Faye, Aurin, Vash, Senai, Ikara, Dante, Sebastian, Trinnean, and Rayford, other loving family members and many more friends.
