

Sanford “Sandy” Ray Shelton was born on 12/05/1957 in Dallas, Texas to parents Edward Shelton and Annie (Zube) Shelton and entered into eternal rest on August 16, 2021 at the age of 63. Sandy, as he was known to his friends and family, enjoyed fishing, mowing the lawn with his new zero turn, and spending time with his family. Sandy loved playing corn hole, eating a whole lot of sweets (behind Evon’s back), loved his grandchildren and life in general. His greatest joy came from helping people. Always smiling and joking around, he would never say “no” to anyone in need. He was an enthusiastic member of Clearview Bible Church. He loved his Sunday school class, Brother Hugh and Pastor David Bodecker.
Sandy was preceded in death by his parents, Brother Billy Shelton, father in law Frank Fields, mother in law Ruby Fields, and brother in law Tommy Fields and grandchild Charlie Shelton
Sandy is survived by his loving wife Evon Shelton of Mabank, daughter Tina Shelton and wife Mari Murphy – Shelton of Colorado, son Joey Shelton and wife Amy of Kemp, grandsons; Anthony Murphy of Colorado, Sean Mack of Colorado, William Mack of Colorado, Brian Thompson of Gun Barrel City, Gunner Ray Shelton of Kemp, granddaughters; Jordyn Murphy of Dallas, and Breanna Thompson of Gun Barrel City, great-grandsons; Jr. Murphy of Colorado, and Zeke Mack of Colorado, great-granddaughter Lyric Murphy of Colorado, brothers; Randy Shelton and wife Sue of Seven Points, Leland Shelton of Mabank, sisters; Wanda Brown of Dallas, Becky Shelton of Dallas, Brother-in-law Ron Gant and wife Sue of Trinidad, brother-in-law Don Fields and wife Carmel of Corsicana, numerous nieces, nephews, family, and a host of friends.
