Shawn Jeffery Gilbreath

Shawn Jeffery Gilbreath (Payne Springs) was born on September 1, 1986, in Waxahachie Texas. He was the son of Larry and Linda Gilbreath (Eustace Texas). Shawn had many friends in Eustace, Payne Springs, Waxahachie, Bronte, Borger, and Portales N.M. Shawn was interested in music, guitar, video games, photography, helping friends and family, and was a friend and role model to Crystal, Maylin, Lucas, and RJ. Shawn worked in numerous fast foods and in the home health field.

Shawn departed this life for his heavenly home on February 20, 2022. Shawn was preceded in death by his pepaw Dwayne Gilbreath (Payne Springs) and his Granny Billie Sue Whitley Smith (Eustace). Shawn is survived by his Parents Larry and Linda (Smith) Gilbreath (Eustace); Brothers: Nathaniel (Jeannette) Gilbreath of Henderson; Timothy (Ariana) Gilbreath of Waxahachie; and Sister Savana (Austin) Earlston of McPherson, Kansas, and numerous foster brothers and sisters: Nieces and Nephews: Alyssa, Bubba, Cooper Gilbreath, Isaiah Gilbreath, Caulder Gilbreath, and Elizabeth Earlston. Grandparents: Harold Smith (Eustace) and Pat Gilbreath (Payne Springs): Aunts and uncles: Mike and Darlene Taylor (Allen), Ricky and Alice Smith (Artesia NM), Eddie and Vicky Smith (Keithville, LA), Ronnie Gilbreath (Payne Springs), Genia Gilbreath (Eustace), David and Brenda Gilbreath (Payne Springs).

Shawn was also survived by the following Cousins: Lecia Smith Hale-Pennsylvania; Christi Gilbreath Adair-North Richland Hills; Douglas Smith-Lubbock; Leah Smith Boley-Round Hill, LA; Andrea Taylor-Allen; Joshua Smith-Bossier City, LA; Jessica Smith Ruyle- Shreveport, LA; Kevin Morris – Eustace; Stacy Gilbreath-Eustace; Courtney Gilbreath-Athens; Britney Austin-Mabank; Kimberly Austin-Dallas; Nicholas Austin-Mabank; and David Gilbreath Jr.-Payne Springs.

A Celebration of Life Service honoring Shawn will be held on Sunday, February 27, 2022, from 1-3 pm at the Payne Springs Community Center in Payne Springs Texas. This will be a come and go service and you are free to share any pictures or stories Celebrating Shawn and his life at this time with his friend and family.
