Born on April 27, 1960, in Sterling, Kansas, he was the son of Theron and Merna Kelly of Lyons, Kansas.
Ted attended Lyons High School and Sterling High School. He joined the US Navy in 1978. He married Cary in 1982. He worked at Northern Natural in Bushton, Kansas, Transwestern Pipeline in Flagstaff, Arizona, then Solar Turbines in Mabank in 1995 until he retired. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his father Theron Kelley, and a brother Mark Kelley.
Ted is survived by his wife, Cary; his daughter Megan of Grapevine, Texas; his son Blake and his wife, Rebecca, of Mabank, Texas; his grandkids Kylar and Karson Kelley of Mabank, Texas, Alyssa Law of Mabank, and Cayden Anderson; his mother Merna Kelley of Lyons, Kansas; his sister Kala Searcy of Lyons, Kansas; his brothers John Kelley and his wife Cindy of Lyons, Kansas, Robert Kelley and his wife Jodi of Gun Barrel City, Texas, and Pat Kelley and his wife Helen of Porter, Texas.
A celebration of Ted’s life will be held at a later date.
