

Terrence “Terry” Lynn Hale, 67, passed away on February 14, 2023, at home surrounded by his family after a long battle of cancer. He was born January 26, 1956, in San Antonio, Texas to his late parents, Roy Edward Hale and Eva Lucille Moore. Terry graduated from WT White High School in Dallas (class of 1974), where he developed lifelong friendships.
Terry married the love of his life on February 2,1980, and soon after welcomed their first child, Lee. Deeply in love, they looked forward to a long and happy life together and continued to grow their family to four with the births of Brooke, Nicole & Clayton. They raised their four children in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
From an early age, Terry was known for being incredibly passionate about cars and their mechanics, so much so, that he dedicated his entire career to this profession and became a Master Auto Technician. Owning and operating a family business, teaching his trade to many colleagues, and eventually finishing his career at Auto Sense. He was an important and reliable fixture in the community; loved by many customers and colleagues throughout the years. He excelled beyond anyone’s expectations, so much he could diagnose a car over the phone; Terry could be described as a “badass technician”.
Outside of work, Terry’s love for adventure carried throughout his life from inventing rail cars, motocross racing, hot rods, camping, boating, sailing, and even coaching little league baseball. Terry was a stranger to no one and found great purpose sharing in the successes, joys, and challenges of those around him.
After living in the city for many years, Terry & Carri moved to their family lake house on Cedar Creek Lake in Mabank, TX. At the lake, he could be found tending to the garden, boating, and skiing, tinkering on cars, and feeding and watching his fur babies around his feeders. Terry looked forward to his children & grandchildren visiting the lake, where they enjoyed watersports, bags tournaments, holidays and even getting dirty with chores. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend. His passion and integrity to those he loved was unwavering. His witty personality and laugh will live on forever.
Terry is survived by his wife, Carri; his children; Lee Allen Hale and his wife Alison, Brooke Lynn Burgoni and her husband Nick, Nicole Maris Sharp and her husband Ryan, Clayton James Hale and his wife Kasy; his 8 loving grandchildren Bryce Burgoni, Zoe Burgoni, Sutton Hale, Ava Sharp, Owen Sharp, Luke Hale, Colson Hale and Evelyn Hale and brother; Ron hale and his wife Janie and sister; Sandy Hale and husband Mike Leet; and In addition to his parents, Terry is predeceased by his sister and brother; Pam and Phillip Hale.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of life, which will be held at Carolynn Estates Community Center at Cedar Creek Lake on February 25th from 1:00-4:00 p.m
