Vertilla grew up in Fairbank, Iowa and later moved to Oelwein, Iowa where she went to school. Vertilla enjoyed being outside listening to the birds while growing gardens of flowers. She enjoyed BBQ cookouts with the family. Vertilla enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading books. Her Bible was the preferred book by far with several areas marked or highlighted, she especially liked the Book of Psalms and 91 was her favorite. Vertilla was always talking and sending scriptures from the Bible to her family and telling them about Jesus. Vertilla loved her whole family - the children were all so precious to her.
Vertilla is survived by her children: Son, Carl (Butch) Walton and wife Kathy of Mabank, TX; Daughter, Carol Griffin of Huntsville, TX; Daughter, Cindy Campbell of Seagoville, TX; 21 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren, and 16 Great Great Grandchildren. Along with many other relative and friends.
Vertilla is preceded in death by her Baby Son, Kevin Walton who only lived 24 hours; Husband, Larry Robinson; Sons-In-Law, Jim Campbell and Michael R. Griffin, Sr.; Grandson, Adam Howell; and Daughter, Cathy Jo George.
Pallbearers: Michael R. Griffin Jr., Tim A. Griffin, Michael R. Griffin III, and Kevin L. Walton.
A visitation for Vertilla will be held prior to the Funeral Service Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home, Mabank, TX 75147. A committal service will occur Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at Eubank Cedar Creek Memorial Park, 16701 State Highway 198, Mabank, TX 75147.
