Vicki Combs Perkins, of Kemp, Texas, passed away on June 30, 2026, in her home from natural causes. She will always be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all that knew and loved her. She was born on September 6, 1951, in Athens, Texas to Francis Edward Combs, and Mildred Doris Anthony.
Vicki loved to explore the world with her husband Danny of 55 years. Many of us have gotten to follow their travel experiences through Vicki’s social media posts. One of Vicki’s travel dreams was to step foot on all 7 continents. She came up one continent short, Antarctica, missing the completion of her dream by 4 months. Vicki’s nature was a reserved one; she wasn’t one to chase large groups of friends. She spent her time fostering and building friendships with lasting impacts. Vicki was a fierce Yahtzee player, loved spending time playing cards and board games with friends and family. Vicki had a strong sense and passion to understand her roots and family history. She spent decades researching and cataloging her family genealogy. She loved and adored her friends and family and will be dearly missed.
Vicki is survived by her loving and dedicated husband, Danny Perkins, of Kemp Texas; son Danny & Kristi Perkins II, of Wills Point Texas; Daughter Misty & Jason Hatcher, of Kemp, Texas, brother John Combs, of Eustace, Texas, sister Shelia & Richard Clark of Mabank, Texas.
